Grêmio opened a three-goal advantage over Inter in the Campeonato Gaúcho final, with several standout displays across the pitch.

According to Globo.com, centre-back Viery and forward Amuzu led the ratings with eight. Amuzu finished one of his chances after consistently exploiting space behind the defence.

Enamorado impressed with his dribbling and struck a fine goal. Carlos Vinícius squandered a major first-half opening, then scored after the interval and linked play well throughout.

Pavón, used at full-back, won most duels and justified the call. Gustavo Martins offered assured cover and clearances, and nearly scored with a header. Marlon was strong in the tackle and shored up the back line.

Noriega read play well, passed cleanly and squeezed space in midfield. Arthur Melo ensured smooth build-up and dispossessed Alan Patrick in the move that led to Grêmio’s third. Willian showed for the ball and tried to set the tempo, though he sometimes held it too long.

Tetê kept the right side dangerous but was frequently halted by fouls. Goalkeeper Weverton was rarely tested, making straightforward saves when called upon. Monsalve saw little of the ball yet did not let the side down through the middle.

Tiaguinho came on late and was unrated, Gabriel Mec sparked a counter, and André moved well without a clear chance. Head coach Luís Castro trusted two young centre-backs, kept Pavón at full-back and promoted Enamorado. He made the most of the numerical superiority to turn control into a commanding win.
