Grêmio reject Al-Ain bid for Ronald, on loan at Fortaleza | OneFootball

According to Globo.com, Grêmio rejected an offer from Al-Ain of the United Arab Emirates for Ronald during the last transfer window. The 23-year-old midfielder is on loan at Fortaleza until the end of 2026.

Al-Wasl also made an enquiry. His contract with Grêmio runs to the end of 2027.

Clubs in Poland have recently asked about him, and he has begun the naturalisation process. He is expected to obtain a Polish passport by the end of the year.

Ronald has not ruled out remaining at Fortaleza. The Ceará club hold a purchase option set at 1.5 million euros, around R$ 8.8 million at current rates. Any negotiation would only take place after Série B finishes.

He has been a substitute for most games at Fortaleza, although he started two of the last three. In total he has 27 appearances and one goal.
