Grêmio set for 19 March debut of New Balance kit against Vitória | OneFootball

Grêmio are close to launching their New Balance kits, replacing Umbro, with the first outing planned for the home match against Vitória on 19 March.

According to Globo.com, the fixture is scheduled for 19:00 at the Arena in the seventh round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, and images of the new design have not yet been released.

The club are in the final stage of talks to secure a new main shirt sponsor. The board expects the partner's logo to be on the shirt at launch and believes it can also conclude the Arena's naming rights this month.

At least five companies have approached the club for the primary shirt slot, and not all are betting firms. The hierarchy aim to convert that interest into multiple agreements across shirt inventory, club facilities and the stadium's naming rights. On 10 February, Havan was confirmed as a shoulder sponsor.

Grêmio have been without a main sponsor since 8 December, when a two-game partnership with Energia Bet ended. Before that, Alfa Bet held the prime space on the shirt.

The contract with Alfa Bet was terminated after three late instalments, totalling about R$ 12 million. The club are seeking R$ 28.902.289,82 in damages in court, but would consider a lower settlement.
