Grêmio have two fresh options for Sunday’s meeting with Atlético-MG at Arena MRV at 16:00. Forward Tetê is fit after muscle oedema, and midfielder Filipe Krovinovic is registered and available to head coach Luís Castro.
According to Globo.com, Castro will confirm the line-up after Saturday morning training, and the expectation is for the recent core to be retained.
Tetê is in contention with Pavon for the right flank. The Argentine had previously filled in at full-back, then returned to his natural role after Tetê’s injury and impressed. He scored in the past two matches, sealing Grêmio wins over Mirassol in the Copa do Brasil and São Paulo in the Brasileirão.
Krovinovic is vying for a midfield berth. He has trained regularly at CT Luiz Carvalho since arriving in Porto Alegre in late July. His last competitive appearance was on 17 April against Slaven in the Croatian league for Hajduk Split.
Projected line-up: Weverton, Diego Caito, Gustavo Martins, Wallace and Marlon, Noriega, Villasanti and Nardoni or Krovinovic, Pavon or Tetê, Carlos Vinicius and Amuzu or Jovane Cabral.
Grêmio travel to Belo Horizonte on Saturday afternoon. The fixture is the 23rd round of the Brasileirão, and the Tricolor start the round 14th on 25 points, three clear of Santos in 17th on 22.
