Atlético de Madrid's qualification for the Copa del Rey final against FC Barcelona on Tuesday night gave Antoine Griezmann the perfect opportunity to take his revenge on his former club.

After the match, the French striker posted a message on Instagram that didn't go unnoticed.

He shared a photo from the match showing himself standing tall while two Barça players are sprawled on the ground after their elimination. He captioned the image with a sarcastic comment: “This photo is very tough?”

For many observers, this post was not random. It appears to reference a previous message from FC Barcelona published last season, when the Catalan club had shared a photo of its players celebrating a win over Atlético Madrid, with Griezmann visible in the background. That post was accompanied by the same phrase, which the French international has now turned back on Barça.

For the record, FC Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid were facing off in the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final at Spotify Camp Nou. The Catalans won 3-0, but Atlético secured their spot in the final thanks to a dominant 4-0 victory in the first leg.
