Alejandro Grimaldo is said to be ready to leave Bayer Leverkusen this summer and would prefer a move to La Liga.

Sport BILD reports that Leverkusen expect around €60 million to spend this summer, a figure that could rise if Grimaldo departs or if Malik Tillman, signed last summer, is sold.

Atlético Madrid are interested and are said to have offered a contract running until 2029 with an option for 2030.

Their pursuit has been described as increasingly concrete.

Diego Simeone’s side are also considering Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella.

The 27-year-old is under contract at the London club until 2029 and is reportedly seeking a significantly higher salary than Grimaldo.
