Alex Grimaldo voiced his anger at the officiating after he was booked during Bayer Leverkusen’s 3-3 draw at Freiburg on Saturday.
“I was angry because I didn’t understand why the referee showed me the yellow card,” he told Bild.

“These referees are really bad. I will try to support my team from the sidelines against Bayern.”
The 30-year-old scored his fifth free-kick goal of the season in the same game, taking his tally to 12 goals in all competitions. He has also produced eight assists this campaign.
It was his fifth caution of the season, meaning he is suspended for next week’s match against German champions Bayern Munich.
