Groupama Stadium paid a moving tribute to PAOK supporters who died in a road accident in Romania while travelling by minibus to Lyon for the Europa League match against Olympique Lyonnais.

As reported by L'Équipe, Lyon and their fans honoured the victims as the club had signalled two days earlier, hours after the tragedy.

The Kop Virage Nord first unfurled a banner carrying a message that pain has no colours and wishing the dead to rest in peace.

Moments later, a minute's silence was observed for seven victims of the crash, with an eighth recognised, a 55-year-old who died after suffering a heart attack on learning a close friend had perished.

In tribute to the eight who died, Lyon supporters lit eight flares.
