Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has suggested he intends to continue at the club amid ongoing speculation around his future.

Just three games remain of the season, and it is still unclear whether the Catalan will remain in his role after the summer. Former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has been regularly touted as his potential successor.

City’s boss was again quizzed on his future plans ahead of the FA Cup final, where his side will face Chelsea this Saturday. It will be the 24th trip to Wembley made by City during his tenure.

“No way,” Guardiola answered with a smile when asked about this weekend potentially being his last trip to Wembley with City. “No way. I have one more year on my contract.”

After a decade at the Etihad, City’s boss is now approaching the end of his time in Manchester. He has masterminded an unprecedented era of success during his time in England.

“Of course,” he reflected on his time. “19 titles in ten years, it’s not bad.”

On whether his achievements will receive greater recognition after he departs, he insisted: “They know all that, they don’t need to wait until I leave. They know I’ve been fun. I’ve been f****** fun.

“So, 19 titles, fight for the 20th in ten years, it’s not bad, honestly.”
