Despite returning to team training on Friday, Guedes will not travel for Monday’s game at the Sánchez-Pizjuán against Sevilla, scheduled for 21:00, due to ankle discomfort.

According to Diario Vasco, Pellegrino Matarazzo explained at midday that the winger would remain behind to recover from ongoing ankle pain. He said they did not want to take risks and would prefer him fully fit for Betis next weekend.

Real have named their squad for the trip, with all available players included except the injured Zubeldia, Karrikaburu, Rupérez and Odriozola.

Matarazzo travels with Remiro, Marrero and Fraga as goalkeepers, and Aramburu, Aihen, Aritz, Caleta-Car, Jon Martín and Sergio Gómez in defence.

The midfield group is Gorrotxa, Turrientes, Marín, Herrera, Soler, Zakharyan, Sucic and Brais.
