Marc Guéhi says he’s relishing Tuesday’s colossal Champions League clash with Real Madrid and insists there’s confidence in camp that City can turn it around and progress.
The Blues head into the 20:00 (UK) Etihad tie 3-0 down from the first leg in the Bernabeu and seemingly facing an uphill battle to qualify for the quarter-finals of Europe’s elite competition.
But Guéhi stresses that advancement can be achieved with the right mindset.
“If you go into these games and don’t believe, there’s no point in turning up to play,” he said.
“It’s important we rally everyone and we’re ready to go again.
“We pick ourselves up - it’s the next game and the next most important thing.
“We’ll make sure we go for that game and believe that we can turn it around.”

The exciting encounter with Los Blancos is part of a mouth-watering double-header this coming week.
That UCL cracker on Tuesday is swiftly followed by the Carabao Cup final on Sunday as the Premier League’s top two, Arsenal and City, battle it out at Wembley for the season’s first major prize.
Guéhi says that adopting a mindful approach – staying firmly in the present moment and not letting the mind drift too far forward – will be vital in keeping the players focused and concentrated when it matters most.
“It’s important we free our minds - they’re two important games and big games,” he continued.
“They’re two games that we go in to and believe we can get the win in both - free our minds and just go for it.
“The most important thing is the next action and staying in the present - not thinking too far ahead.
“The present is the next game and it’s about making sure we’re ready for that.
“It’s a big week ahead for us. We live each day in the present and take each game and each step at a time.”

City go into the clashes with Madrid and Arsenal on the back of a 1-1 draw with West Ham on Saturday in the Premier League.
The result means we’re nine points behind the Gunners in the title race but with a game in hand and with a monumental home match against Mikel Arteta’s men at the Etihad on the horizon, too.
Guéhi insists the Blues will be giving it everything we’ve got from now until the end of the season as we eye a fairytale finale.
“It’s football - we’ve all seen some crazy things happen in football so never say never and that’s the attitude we’ll have right until the end,” he added.
“It’s not done until the last game of the season - I think everyone knows that.
“We have to believe - we’ve got no choice.
“We know our fans are going to be right behind us - we’ll take it right until the end.”
