Gui Negão is back in contention for Fernando Diniz, the 19-year-old included in Corinthians’ travelling squad. The team are based in São José do Rio Preto for Sunday’s Brasileirão meeting with Mirassol, kick-off 20:30.

Negão had been out since late March after sustaining a grade 2 strain to the back of his right thigh during Brazil Under-20 training. He was withdrawn from the squad and replaced by Yuri Leles.

He is expected to start on the bench. According to Meu Timao, the attack should feature Yuri Alberto and Jesse Lingard.

While Negão returns, Vitinho misses out with pain in his right hip. Kayke and Memphis Depay also remain sidelined, as do defenders Hugo and João Pedro and midfielder Charles. Matheuzinho, Gustavo Henrique, André and André Carrillo are suspended.

Corinthians arrive buoyed by Diniz’s encouraging start and a seven-match unbeaten run this season. They beat Vasco da Gama in their last league outing and could end the round inside the G8 with another win.
