Guingamp midfielder Hugo Picard set to join MLS side Columbus Crew | OneFootball

EA Guingamp are set to lose one of their brightest academy products, with midfielder Hugo Picard (22) on the verge of a move to MLS champions Columbus Crew in a €2m deal, as per Foot Mercato.

A standout performer in Ligue 2 this season, Picard contributed three goals and nine assists in 33 appearances as Guingamp reached the promotion play-offs, eventually falling short against Dunkerque. At 22, the Torfou native has already surpassed 100 professional appearances and was under contract until 2026.

He has reportedly been in the United States in recent days, spotted at Lower.com Field for the Crew’s match against Philadelphia. Picard will link up with former Toulouse defender Steven Moreira, now club captain, under the stewardship of Wilfried Nancy, who guided Columbus to the MLS Cup title in 2023.GFFN | George Boxall
