Ilkay Gundogan’s iconic Manchester City career has been marked with a legacy photograph which captures his trophy-laden time with the Blues.

Gundogan was a guest of the Club for the final home game of the 2025/26 campaign against Aston Villa as we said goodbye to heroic trio Pep Guardiola, Bernardo Silva and John Stones.

Gundogan wanted to be there to show his appreciation for the top trio but the midfield marvel was also on hand to say goodbye himself, an opportunity he didn’t get either in 2023 or 2025.

On the final whistle of the Villans clash, Gundogan and family received the applause of the crowd as he was introduced to the Etihad masses before being handed a framed shirt and seasoncard for life for his sterling service to City.

As well as that, he was invited to Space Studios for a photograph shoot that will live long in the memory.

Gundogan was shot surrounded by the 14 trophies he won during his time with the sky blues.

Notable among them were the Premier League trophy he helped secure on the enthralling final day of the 2021/22 season as he bagged two in a last-gasp comeback against Aston Villa as well as, of course, the historic Treble of Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League trophies he hoisted high into the air as captain at the end of that unforgettable 2022/23 season.

9 seasons. 2 spells. 358 appearances. 65 goals. 14 trophies.

That’s five Premier Leagues, two FA Cups, four Carabao Cups, two Community Shields and one UEFA Champions League.

But most importantly, memories to last a lifetime.
