Gustavo Costas extends Racing contract until end of 2028

Gustavo Costas has signed a new Racing contract through to the end of 2028, which coincides with Diego Milito's presidential term.

According to SuperDepor.com, the agreement carries new terms and keeps Costas and his backroom team in charge for three more years.

The announcement post showed Costas alongside Milito in the stands at the Presidente Perón, holding a shirt with the number 2028. The coach, who is set to turn 63, had been out of contract on 31 December.

He said the objective remains the same for everyone at the club, to put Racing at the top.

In 2026, Racing will target the Apertura and Clausura, the Copa Argentina and the Copa Sudamericana under Costas. They missed out on the Libertadores after losing the final in Santiago del Estero to Estudiantes de La Plata.
