Erling Haaland's penalty against Feyenoord on Tuesday was his 50th goal contribution in the Champions League in just 44 appearances.

That means the Norwegian is the quickest to that milestone in Champions League history, eclipsing Ruud van Nistelrooy's record of 45 matches to half a century.

Our No.9's feat has comprised of 45 goals and five assists as he's established himself as arguably the outstanding marksman in European football.

This latest finish puts him joint-15th in the list of Champions League scorers in history, tying with Mo Salah who has played 83 times.

Of all players in the top 50 for most Champions League goals, he is the only to be going at a rate of more than a goal per game.

22 of his goals and two assists have come in a City shirt, with the 24-year-old scoring 15 times and adding two assists for Borussia Dortmund and eight goals and one assist at RB Salzburg before moving to Manchester.

His highest tally in a season so far came in 2022/23 when we lifted the Champions League for the first time in our history as part of an historic Treble.

He netted 12 times in just 11 appearances in the competition that term, with crucial goals against Dortmund and Bayern Munich as well as five in one match against RB Leipzig.

After 25 appearances, only Sergio Aguero (39) and Raheem Sterling (24) have scored more Champions League goals for City than Haaland.

It's just the latest of an incredible string of records that single out Haaland as perhaps the striker defenders fear above all others.

Haaland scored a Premier League record 36 goals in his first season in England and backed it up with a second Golden Boot last campaign.

In 2022/23, his 52 goals in all competitions earned him the Gerd Muller Trophy as well as a litany of Player of the Year awards.

He recently scored his 100th City goal, requiring just 105 matches to do.

He's also bagged a phenomenal 11 hat-tricks in total in a City shirt - with eight coming in the Premier League, two in the FA Cup and one in the Champions League.

In international football, he is already Norway's record scorer with 38 in 39 caps, breaking a record that has stood for 90 years.

Congratulations to Erling on this latest impressive landmark in an exceptional career!
