Haaland double secures win over Porto as Man City continue strong start to season

Erling Haaland scored twice as Manchester City opened their Champions League campaign with a victory over Porto at the Estadio do Dragao.

The Norwegian continued his fine start to the season after scoring the winner against Coventry on Saturday, making it five goals from five games in all competitions.

Enzo Maresca’s side controlled much of the contest, and their pressure eventually told through Haaland, who headed in from Enzo Fernandez’s cross at the start of the second half.

He added his second in stoppage time, finding the back of the net from Rayan Ait-Nouri’s pull-back.
