Erling Haaland has been nominated for October’s Premier League Player of the Month award.
The Norwegian is seeking to defend the title, after winning it for a fourth time just last month.
He’s nominated for three goals across our three league games in October, comprising of the decisive strikes in the victories over Brentford and Everton.
His first league goal of the month came in the 1-0 win at the Bees, turning his defender, holding off another and smashing into the net.
He then backed that up immediately after the international break with a towering header and sweeping finish from 15 yards to earn us all three points against Everton.
It all contributed to Haaland’s exceptional start to the 2025/26 season, in which he’s scored 24 times in 15 games for club and country.
11 of those goals have come in the Premier League, putting him five clear of Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo and Brentford man Igor Thiago early on in the race for the Golden Boot.
Our man remains one of the deadliest strikers the English top-flight has ever seen, so far netting 96 goals in 106 Premier League appearances.
Haaland is one of eight nominees this month.
Aston Villa’s Matty Cash, Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes, Bournemouth youngster Eli Junior Kroupi, Manchester United forward Bryan Mbeumo, Sunderland’s Nordi Mukiele, Brentford’s Igor Thiago and Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber are also in contention.
But our No.9 can win a second successive crown with the support of City fans all over the world.
Voting closes at 12:00 (UK) on Monday 3 November, with the winner set to be announced at 11:00 (UK) on Friday 7 November.
