Haiti leads the Caribbean in Concacaf Men’s National Team Rankings

MIAMI – Haiti is the new leader in the Caribbean following a historic return to the FIFA World Cup, leading the stories in the latest Concacaf Men's National Team Rankings.
The Concacaf Ranking Index grades all national teams across the confederation. Nations gain points for results in the Nations League, Gold Cup, World Cup Qualifiers, and other international matches.

Haiti jumps to seventh overall after qualifying to its second FIFA World Cup, climbs to top spot in the Caribbean
Haiti (1,501) sealed its World Cup return, ending a drought that spanned over 50 years, by topping Group C in the Final Round of Concacaf Qualifiers. Les Grenadiers improved to seventh overall and is the highest-ranking Caribbean side.
Reigning Concacaf Gold Cup and Nations League winners Mexico (2,018) continues to lead the overall rankings. Fellow FIFA World Cup 26 co-hosts Canada (1,819) and the United States (1,733) remained in second and fourth, respectively.
Panama (1,802) also held its position at third overall after collecting its second World Cup participation. Costa Rica (1,629) rounds out the top five.
Panama leads all Central American nations, Nicaragua improves after home win over Honduras
Panama is the highest-ranking nation from Central America, followed by Costa Rica in the overall top five.
Honduras (1,548) at sixth overall, and Guatemala (1,443) at ninth, are next in the Central America top five, completed by Nicaragua (1,142).
Curaçao moves up one spot after qualifying for World Cup for first time
Haiti was also the top mover after improving two places in the rankings. Curaçao (1,333) moved up one spot to eleventh overall after also earning a historic result with its first FIFA World Cup berth.
#15 Nicaragua, #22 Puerto Rico (867), and #39 British Virgin Islands (154) were also among the sides that moved up one spot.
Haiti provided the biggest upset with its win over Costa Rica
Haiti, previously ranked ninth, delivered the biggest upset of the month with its 1-nil win against fifth overall Costa Rica on November 13 at Stadion Ergilio Hato in Willemstad, Curaçao.
Frantzdy Pierrot scored the match-winning goal in the 44’ to help the Caribbean nation obtain its second World Cup appearance.
