Tartan Army back on the global stage after 28 years
‘No Scotland, no party’, so the chant goes and at Scotland’s first World Cup since 1998, the party atmosphere - despite the VISA issues of some fans - is in full swing as fans arrive in Boston for their first game of the tournament against Haiti in the wee hours of Sunday.
Kenny McLean’s goal against Denmark in the final qualifier sent those fans at Hampden Park into dreamland and they will be hoping Boston Stadium can be a similar Mecca. A big Scot win - and another Scott McTominay bicycle kick to boot - against the international minnows would likely see Steve Clarke’s side progress from Group C to the round of 32 before they face heavy-hitters Brazil and Morocco.
Haiti qualified automatically from their CONCACAF group and are at their first World Cup since 1974, but didn’t make it out the group and lost all three group games to Italy, Poland and 2022 champions Argentina. Scotland, realistically, stand in their way of going one better.
Sunderland forward Wilson Isidor needs to bag the goals for the Haitians, while Wolves midfielder Jean-Ricner Bellegarde must provide some steel to the second-lowest-ranked side at the World Cup 2026.
Haiti vs Scotland is scheduled for a 2am BST kick-off on Sunday 3rd June, 2026.
The match will take place at Boston Stadium, Massachusetts.

Haiti have no current injury concerns, but after seeing fellow Group C Morocco opponents suffer two tournament-ending injuries to players, will hope key men Bellegarde and Isidor remain fit and healthy.
Goalkeeper Johny Placide is a figurehead for the Haitians, but will be lucky to keep a clean sheet at this tournament.

Scotland and Napoli midfielder Billy Gilmour picked up a knee injury in a friendly win over Curaçao two weeks ago and was replaced in the squad by Man United youngster Tyler Fletcher - son of 80-cap former international Darren.
Fellow Napoli midfielder McTominay is expected to star, alongside John McGinn, who is fresh off May’s Europa League win with Aston Villa.
Defender Scott McKenna was absent from training this week, but his issue is not considered serious, while Andy Robertson’s move to Spurs may give him a pep in his step after a difficult season with Liverpool.
Scotland squad: Angus Gunn, Liam Kelly, Craig Gordon, Aaron Hickey, Andy Robertson, Grant Hanley, Kieran Tierney, Jack Hendry, John Souttar, Dominic Hyam, Nathan Patterson, Anthony Ralston, Scott McKenna, Scott McTominay, John McGinn, Tyler Fletcher, Ryan Christie, Lewis Ferguson, Kenny McLean, Lyndon Dykes, Che Adams, Ross Stewart, Ben Gannon-Doak, George Hirst, Lawrence Shankland, Findlay Curtis

Haiti’s recent 4-0 win over New Zealand may have sent shivers down Scotland’s spine, but a 2-1 loss to Peru will assuage any Scottish fears of an upset.
With Scotland ranked almost 40 places above Haiti in the FIFA World Rankings, Steve Clarke should guide his team to a comfortable win and all but confirm their progression - should. Expect hellfire if they don’t.
Scotland to win 4-0.
Sunday’s meeting will be Scotland and Haiti’s first-ever meeting.
Haiti to win: 4/1
Scotland to win: 1/2
Draw: 5/2
