According to AS, Lucas Núñez and Carlos Corberán believe a loan is the right step for the 20-year-old. Half of Segunda División have asked about him, with Eibar showing the strongest interest and offering terms that appeal to Valencia.
With Guido’s renewal, Dieng’s arrival and Javi Guerra and Ugrinic staying, the midfielder has no room in the first team. Playing for Mestalla in Segunda RFEF is considered too small a step for his development.
He is no longer training with the senior squad and has not featured in the two pre-season friendlies Valencia have played.
Córdoba, Albacete, Castellón and Eibar have all enquired about a loan. European interest has also arrived from Go Ahead Eagles, though for now Núñez prioritises continuing his development in Spain.
Núñez is under contract until 2028, and the club hold an option to extend by two more seasons. He made 27 appearances for Valencia Mestalla last season and debuted for the first team in the Copa del Rey against Maracena. The club hope the Alicante-born midfielder can push into the senior side in the coming seasons.
