Former Bayern Munich midfielder Dietmar Hamann believes the likelihood of Nicolas Jackson staying at the club beyond next summer is highly unlikely.

Despite a rumoured €65million purchase option included in the deal, Hamann told BILD that he doubts the Bavarians will cough up such a fee.

“I think Bayern wanted this [purchase] clause that way. I don't want to say that they are generally not interested in buying him.

“But they certainly weren't keen to buy him for this pile of money, because that would be a bit of a lottery,” said the 52-year-old.

To date, the Bavarian club has only paid Chelsea a loan fee of €16.5million, of which the attacking player is covering a certain portion himself, according to club boss Uli Hoeneß.

"That's a lot of money for one year, but Bayern acted at the last minute and absolutely had to sign a player. Chelsea, of course, took advantage of that," Hamann explained.
