Hamburger SV have extended the contract of goalkeeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes ahead of upcoming 2026-27 season.
The 33-year-old has been part of the Red Shorts since the summer of 2019 and will enter his eighth season with the Hanseatic club.
"Ferro had a strong Bundesliga season and, as a key player, made a significant contribution to securing our place in the league" said HSV sporting director Claus Costa.
"He not only demonstrated his qualities on the pitch but was also a crucial factor as a personality, playing a very important role as a leader in the locker room.
“Ferro has steadily developed over the past few years and has become a true icon of the club. His loyalty to the HSV is always evident. We are very pleased to continue our journey together.
“With his contract extension, we see ourselves as exceptionally well-positioned for the future in our goalkeeping team,” the club chief added.
Last season, Heuer Fernandes made 33 appearances in the Bundesliga with 2,970 minutes played and kept six clean sheets.
