Sheffield United beat Ipswich Town 3-1 at Bramall Lane to remain 17th in the Championship, with the visitors staying third.
In the 38th minute, Callum O'Hare swept in from the edge after Gustavo Hamer led a break. Andre Brooks then doubled the lead in the fourth minute of first half stoppage time with a low strike.
After the restart, a handball against Mark McGuinness was penalised, and VAR confirmed the spot kick. Jack Clarke converted (60.).
Hamer unlocked the Tractor Boys again, slipping Patrick Bamford through to finish across the goalkeeper (66.). The forward later received a second yellow and was sent off (84.).
The Blades registered eight shots on target from 15 attempts, making 42% possession count. Ipswich produced 11 attempts and five on target but rarely opened the home defence in open play.
The Blades visit Millwall next. The Tractor Boys host Preston North End.
