West Ham United enjoyed an easy 2-0 win at Old Trafford against a disinterested-looking Manchester United side.
The Red Devils were on a high after a 4-1 win over Athletic Club on Thursday night that booked their place in the Europa League final against fellow league strugglers Tottenham Hotspur. And like Spurs, they couldn't win at home again today.
After an initially lively 10 minutes, the home side were afforded plenty of sterile possession by West Ham in the first half with opening the scoring in the 26th minute.
Mohammed Kudus did well down the left before putting in a low ball that allowed Tomás Soucek to convert from less than a yard out.
The second goal came in the 57th minute when Manuel Ugarte was robbed in midfield with the Hammers taking full advantage as former Red Devil Aaron Wan-Bissaka teed up Jarrod Bowen for an easy finish.
That goal came just five minutes after Leny Yoro was taken off for injury and the French centre-back's fitness will be one of Ruben Amorim's many concerns after another drab performance in the Premier League.
West Ham meanwhile moved a point clear of Man Utd into 15th on 40 points and will be looking to chase down Wolves and Everton in their final two fixtures.
