Brentford Women B fell to their second defeat of the season on Sunday, losing 3-1 to second-placed Hammersmith Reserves.

Hammersmith scored either side of half-time before Paula Holguin netted for the Bees, but the hosts added a third to put the result beyond doubt.

Tommy Ryan-Maynard's side remain top of the Greater London Women's Football League Division One South with a five-point gap and a game in hand on Hammersmith.

Hammersmith took the lead on 39 minutes when the Bees were caught playing out from the back and were punished by a smart finish into the bottom-right corner.

The west Londoners found themselves 2-0 down shortly after the break when a free-kick from the corner of the area looped over Sophie Boycott in the Brentford net.

Ryan-Maynard's side reacted well when Holguin, who recently won the London and South East Premier December Player of the Month award, headed home a powerful effort at the back post from Liberty Morrice-Bartlett's corner on 54 minutes.

Despite the Bees clawing one back, it was the home side who put the game to bed less than five minutes later when they sliced through the defence to make it 3-1.

A disappointing result to start 2026 for the B team, but they still sit in a commanding position at the top of the table with six games to play.

Brentford: Boycott, Matthews, Holguin, Morrice-Bartlett, Morgan, Slade, Hlek, Buckmire, Barbosa, Edwards, Henry
