Hamza Abdelkarim commits future to Barcelona until 2030 | OneFootball

After spending the second half of the last season on loan at FC Barcelona, the Egyptian forward Hamza Abdelkarim signed permanently for the Catalan club during the last summer transfer window.

He signed a contract with the Blaugranes until 2029, and thus, his future should not have been a major source of concern for the club. However, as Mundo Deportivo has reported, he has already signed a new contract with Barcelona, one that will now go until 2030.

The youngster has impressed quite a lot since his arrival at the Catalan club, both at the youth level and with the first team. With the latter, he was the top scorer during the preseason, and despite being only 18 years of age, his good performances also got him a call up to the 2026 World Cup with the Egyptian national team, where he ended up playing in several games.

This renewal thus confirms the Blaugrana club’s confidence in the player. The new contract was signed at the club’s offices, with Joan Laporta, Rafa Yuste, and Deco in attendance. After signing the new contract, Abdelkarim appeared to announce this renewal at the Barca Immersive Tour, where he arrived accompanied by his brother, Youssef, and his agent, Christian Emile.

One of the major reasons why Barcelona opted to renew the Egyptian’s contract was his release clause. His previous contract had a release clause of only €15 million, which would naturally have worried the club keeping in view his growth and development in recent months. Now, with this renewal, his release clause has risen to €150 million.

With this new contract, Hamza Abdelkarim is now more securely established at FC Barcelona, and hopefully, he will continue to get chances to play and shine with the first team, despite the presence of players like Raphinha and Gabriel Jesus.
