Hamza Abdelkarim extends Barcelona contract to 2030 after breakout pre-season | OneFootball

Barcelona have extended 18-year-old Egypt forward Hamza Abdelkarim’s contract to 2030 after he scored four goals in six pre-season friendlies.

The club said in a statement that the signing of the extension will take place on Tuesday 15 September at 17:00 in president Joan Laporta’s office. Abdelkarim will then address the media in the club’s commercial room.

Abdelkarim joined from Al-Ahly in February on loan with an option to buy, his formative club. After scoring 6 goals in 11 for the U19s, the option was triggered for about €1.5m and he signed a three-year deal.

He was included in Hansi Flick’s 2026-27 pre-season group. Late in August he made his first-team debut in a 5-2 win against Rayo Vallecano.

Abdelkarim is an Egypt international with six caps and has featured at the World Cup.
