Norwich City will go into this weekend’s Championship fixture away at Hull City still without a win to their name in the league – something which they would not have expected to still be searching for.
On paper, matches against Cardiff City and Wigan Athletic weren’t the toughest on paper for Dean Smith’s side – a team in which has pretty much stuck together following relegation from the Premier League.
However, the Canaries have only picked up a singular point so far, with a defeat on the road in South Wales to kick off the campaign, and that was followed with a 1-1 draw against Wigan Athletic at Carrow Road last weekend.

Following success in the Carabao Cup by way of a penalty shootout against Birmingham City, Norwich are back on the road as they head north to take on Hull City, but who will be in the line-up to take on the Tigers at the MKM Stadium? Let’s take a look.
Due to the lack of points from the opening two matches, Dean Smith has some dilemmas to handle.
The first comes at centre-back, where captain Grant Hanley will return from his one-match suspension, having been sent off against Cardiff City on the opening day of the campaign.
It is likely that he will come back in for Ben Gibson though, who returned to training yesterday after missing the Carabao Cup clash against Birmingham with an injury.
There’s no such dilemmas at left-back though, with both Dimitris Giannoulis and Sam McCallum suffering long-term injuries in the last week, leaving natural right-sided player Sam Byram to fill in.
And it’s likely that despite not securing the win against Wigan last weekend, the midfield trio and front three will remain the same as the sharing of the spoils with the Latics, despite the likes of Gabriel Sara, Josh Sargent and Onel Hernandez waiting in the wings for their opportunities.
