According to Bild, Hannover 96 left-back Derrick Köhn has a release clause in his contract valid in 2024 as the 24-year-old attracts interest from Bundesliga clubs.
Köhn currently has two years left on his contract at Hannover, which means in the summer, any team that wants to sign the left-back will have to pay €6m. However, next summer a clause in Köhn’s contract becomes active where he can leave for €3m. Borussia Mönchengladbach, Bayer Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart have all shown interest in Köhn in the past.
The 24-year-old has also recently switched consultants as he has moved to Sports360 GmbH which has clients such as Niklas Süle, Timo Werner and Toni Kroos. This switch could show that Köhn intends to leave Hannover soon as it is known he would like to play in the Bundesliga.
Köhn has played 27 times for Hannover this season, scoring three times and assisting five in the process. The 24-year-old joined Hannover in the summer from Willem II in the Netherlands for €500k.
