Hansi Flick blocks Barcelona youngster’s reserve team call-up | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has moved to block the participation of a member of the club’s defensive ranks in Barca Atlètic’s next outing.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Jofre Torrents as the player in question.

The name of youngster Jofre has of course become an increasingly recognisable one to those of a Barcelona persuasion over recent months.

This comes with the talented 18-year-old, after impressing at senior level in pre-season, having since continued to ply his trade with Hansi Flick’s squad.

With the Blaugrana’s stars having this week departed for international duty across the globe, the understanding was that Jofre was set to return to reserve team level, to play his part in Barca Atlètic’s next fixture.

As alluded to above, however, this will in fact not prove to be the case.

As per a report from Sport, Hansi Flick has requested that the defender not be called up by Juliano Belletti.

This comes after Barca’s headmaster recently saw his left-back options reduced for the weeks ahead, owing to the injury picked up by Alejandro Balde.
