An insight into the extent of the disciplinary measures being implemented by new Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has on Tuesday been provided.

The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, and points towards Flick making use of the early weeks of his stint in Catalunya’s capital to lay down the law to his players.

The German tactician has long been known as something of a disciplinarian, a key aspect on which his success was built at Bayern Munich.

And, evidently, he is of the opinion that similar measures will be necessary at Barcelona…

As per a report from Sport, Flick has already on multiple occasions stressed the importance of timekeeping to his squad.

In turn, after one unnamed member of his ranks in Catalunya arrived to The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper only just on time for a recent training session, Barca’s headmaster made an example of him:

‘In one preparatory session, one player arrived at training on time and Hansi did not miss the opportunity to send a ‘warning’ in front of other teammates,’ it is revealed.
