Despite the positive start to the new season on the field, Barcelona have had to deal with numerous problems in terms of fitness and injuries.
The Catalans have confirmed long-term injuries to Gavi and Marc-Andre ter Stegen, while the likes of Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde have already missed quite a few matches.
To make things worse, Barcelona today have confirmed the injury of two players in Raphinha and Joan Garcia, both integral to Flick’s starting eleven.
As reported by SPORT, a total of eleven first-team players have already missed time since the summer, with seven of them suffering injuries of varying severity.
This has left Hansi Flick concerned, especially considering the fact that Barcelona had so few injuries last season.
This week alone has been described as “horrible” by the club, with four separate injury statements issued.

Alongside Joan Garcia, winger Raphinha has been ruled out for about three weeks with a hamstring problem.
The duo joins Gavi, Fermin, and Ter Stegen in Barcelona’s growing list of absentees.
This could prove to be fatal for the club heading into an important October, where the club are slated to take on Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Sevilla and Girona.
While Barcelona have some cover in the form of Wojciech Szczesny in goal and the likes of Marcus Rashford and Roony Bardghji out wide, the loss of quality will be evident in the Barcelona team for the upcoming matches.
Flick’s most immediate challenge, therefore, will be to make sure these players react strongly and do their best to replace the first-team stars, starting with this weekend’s game against Real Sociedad at home.
