Hansi Flick confirms Marcus Rashford concern before Barcelona vs Athletic Club | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has confirmed that the club are sweating over the readiness of Marcus Rashford to feature in their next outing.

This comes with the Englishman dealing with a bout of illness.

Frontman Rashford was for his part a notable absentee from Barcelona training over the last couple of days.

After it was initially suggested that as much came for personal reasons, it was later revealed that the 28-year-old is in fact under the weather with a fever.

Speaking to the media on the eve of his side’s post-international break return to action on Friday, the subject of Rashford’s wellbeing was in turn put to manager Hansi Flick.

And the German tactician went on to admit that, as things stand, the Blaugrana loan signing is ‘a doubt’ to play his part against Athletic Club on Saturday afternoon:

“Rashford is a doubt for tomorrow because he has a fever.”
