Hansi Flick continues to be ‘surprised’ by Barcelona star in pre-season | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has been left increasingly surprised by the exploits of a member of his attacking setup in Catalunya’s capital across pre-season to date.

That’s according to Alex Pintanel of Relevo, who points towards Ansu Fati as the player in question.

The name of wide-man Ansu has of course returned to the forefront of the headlines at Barcelona over the course of the last week.

As much comes after the 21-year-old, fresh off a hugely underwhelming loan stint away from the Blaugrana, linked back up with his parent club for pre-season training.

Barcelona’s plans for Ansu have long marked a source of contention amongst those associated with the club, with supporters desperate for their gifted young attacker to be afforded another chance, but the board understood to be giving consideration to a summer sale.

If the latest word stemming from the media on Tuesday is anything to go by, though, then it would appear that the player himself is doing everything in his power to convince Barca to bet on him once more.

As per Relevo, amid further claims that Ansu returned to base at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper in excellent physical shape:

‘Hansi Flick has been left surprised by Ansu Fati’, hinting that the Spaniard could yet carve out a place for himself at the Camp Nou for next season.
