There has undeniably been a lot of emphasis on young players over at FC Barcelona this season. While Hansi Flick is a coach who carries a lot of experience with him, he seems to be more than open to giving new opportunities. Fortunately, that has worked out quite well for Barcelona this season.

Most of the times, the young talents that the team relies upon end up coming out of La Masia or the Barcelona youth teams. These players already know the club’s philosophy well, and they have the ability to establish themselves as true greats at Barça.

However, it always requires a manager who is willing to hand out such opportunities to young players to make such a difference. Certain managers prefer to rely mainly on experienced veterans, while others can be too experimental and end up relying too much on exceptional talents while disregarding their limitations.

Hansi Flick, however, seems to have found the perfect balance. His players, both young and experienced, coordinate well and seem to work well around each other no matter what. Now, moving forward, it seems that the German coach has another player in mind that he would like to potentially promote.

As highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, the Barcelona coach is currently evaluating the possibility of promoting 19-year-old Barça Atletic winger Dani Rodriguez to the first team next season. An exceptional player in his own right, he combines both skill and end-product quite well.

Despite having been injured a lot this season, he has made the most of his opportunities in the reserve team. He has played only 323 minutes and has only three starts across his eight appearances, but he still managed to score three goals and provide three assists as well.

Moreover, Hansi Flick has already seen him in training up close as he has trained with the first team previously. If the German coach has been truly impressed with his quality so far, it would not be the first time that a talented young winger would have joined the first team like this.

A player with great flair and versatility, being able to play on either wing and also in the midfield, he could be a great addition to the first team. While it is true that the current Barcelona attack is already a menacing force, adding more firepower would not exactly hurt.
