FC Barcelona wish to make positive progress in whatever possible way they can. The Catalan club is currently working under the orders of new coach Hansi Flick to get accustomed to their new training norms. Unfortunately for Flick and Barcelona, the entirety of the squad is still not available.

While certain players are still on vacation following their participation in the various international tournaments that recently concluded, others are missing for more worrying reasons. Beyond just participation, even injuries have been adversely impacting some players.

However, Barcelona did receive some good news just recently. While Hansi Flick was at the Ciutat Esportiva, as highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, the German coach finally managed to catch up with two of the most integral pieces of Barcelona who were currently injured.

Flick met both Pedri and Ronald Araujo with a lot of excitement and encouragement. Shaking hands with them and sharing jokes, the new Barcelona coach made sure to share some positive words with both the Spanish midfielder and the Uruguayan defender.

Unfortunately, beyond just his well wishes for them to recover soon, Flick will have to wait to see his stars shine again on the field. Pedri, for instance, has an internal lateral sprain that he is currently suffering from in his left knee and it is suspected that he will be out of action for quite some time.

Araujo, on the other hand, has been diagnosed with a hamstring injury. Furthermore, it is expected that the Barcelona defender will now have to undergo surgical intervention as well and it could lead to him being out of action for close to four months, possibly delaying his return until December.

For now, all Flick can do is wait and hope for the best when it comes to his injured talents. However, the academy, quarry, and first-team players still provide the Barcelona coach with a lot of suitable alternatives. It just remains to be seen whether or not the former Bayern coach is able to get the best out of them.
