Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is facing something of a selection dilemma regarding the centre-forward spot in his XI.

This comes ahead of the Blaugrana’s upcoming showdown with Atlético Madrid.

Barcelona are of course primed to return to action on the continent on Tuesday, in a Champions League quarter-final 2nd leg meeting with Diego Simeone’s Atlético.

The reigning Spanish champions head into the fixture trailing by two goals, following a first leg defeat at the Spotify Camp Nou last week.

Hansi Flick’s personnel decisions will therefore prove more important than ever in Madrid.

And if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media is anything to go by, then recent developments have cast fresh doubt in the mind of the German tactician.

As per a report from Diario Sport, the plan was for Robert Lewandowski to lead the Barcelona frontline at the Metropolitano.

Ferran Torres’ starring display in the Catalan Derby this past weekend, however, has resulted in Flick reconsidering his options.

It now looks like a straight shootout between Lewandowski and Ferran for a starting place in two days’ time.
