Now, with the focus shifting to the all-important El Clasico this weekend, Flick is utilising his time carefully and was recently seen chatting with one of Barcelona’s most important players.

Flick’s conversation with Yamal

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Hansi Flick was seen having a special chat with Lamine Yamal during the training session today.

The German took a couple of minutes to speak with the Barcelona youngster, who has been central to the club’s success in attack this season.

Indeed, Yamal has racked up five goals and seven assists this season, which is quite the feat for a 17-year-old.

Flick’s chat with Yamal came at a time when the youngster was going through a mini goal drought.

Although the Spaniard continues to play a key role in Barcelona’s attack, he has been unable to score in recent matches against Sevilla and Bayern and was substituted in both matches.

Yamal, for his part, has shown frustration at not being able to score in past matches. This is perhaps why Flick has given up special attention to the youngster heading into the Real Madrid.

Scoring in the Clasico would certainly go a long way in boosting the confidence of young Yamal, whose combination play with Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski may decide the outcome of this crucial tie.
