Hansi Flick identifies new striker target for Barcelona | OneFootball

With only a few days left till the end of the summer transfer window, FC Barcelona will be working with a very high degree of urgency on the signing of a new center-forward. They have not replaced either Robert Lewandowski or Ferran Torres.

The Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez remains their most desired target for this position, despite them having not made any notable progress towards his signing in the last few weeks. Meanwhile, the Catalans are also being linked with some alternatives.

According to MARCA, one name that has entered this list of alternatives is the Club Brugge forward Nicolo Tresoldi. In fact, the 22-year-old is one of the names on the top of this list, with the likes of Lautaro Martinez and Ayoze Perez also being linked with Barcelona.

Tresoldi was the top-scorer in the Belgian top league last season with his 19 goals and is also a part of the German U-21 team, even though he was born in Italy. His finishing ability is particularly impressive, but his game is not just limited to remaining in the box and scoring goals, as he is also highly mobile and links up well with his teammates.

Furthermore, he has also scored 23 goals in 58 appearances with his international team, the German U-21 team, and, according to the former Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann himself, was very close to being called up for the World Cup.

These qualities have particularly impressed Hansi Flick, and he himself has suggested the German forward to the club. He is currently valued at €25 million, and Barcelona are keeping a close eye on him. But with only a few days left in the market, it remains to be seen whether they will be able to do their work to land Nicolo Tresoldi, especially if they miss out on Julian Alvarez.
