The FC Barcelona team is currently going through quite a difficult period, having lost their last two games. As a result, it is natural to see the team reflecting on their shortcomings and working to get over this bump as soon as possible.

In this regard, Hansi Flick provided some updates on what his team has been doing lately in the press conference he held ahead of the league game against Levante.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, the coach revealed that he held talks with his team to arrive at a solution for their problems, and also to motivate the team to continue playing according to their play style and philosophy:

“We have talked; we had a very honest and open discussion two days ago and today. This is key for the upcoming matches. We have to play according to our philosophy, as a team, for each other, well-positioned and organized, and I want to see an ambitious team. Everyone is convinced of what they want to do, and we must continue with it.”

He stressed that part of his role is to guide and convince the players while also listening to them:

“It’s my job to convince the players, and my feeling, based on what I have heard, is that they are convinced of what we are doing and the way we played last season. That is what we want to do. The players know how we want to play and they are convinced.”

Hansi Flick also highlighted the importance of open, two-way communication, particularly in difficult moments:

“Of course, these moments are not easy, but communication is important. We have been very honest and open. I asked the players questions—it’s normal, it’s how I manage the team, and it’s important because we need leaders on the field, and it’s important that they are able to say what they think off the field. Communication must be at the same level. In the end, I decide, that’s my job, but what I want is for the players to feel responsible for the situation.”

Hopefully, Hansi Flick and the players will continue working for one another and get back to their best level soon to get some trophies for their team at the end of this season.
