The 61-year-old’s current deal expires in June next year, and the club’s hierarchy have been keen to extend his stay.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Flick has agreed to sign a new deal that will run until 2028, with an optional additional year included.

Barca president Joan Laporta initially pushed for a longer extension, but the German boss opted for a shorter commitment.

Flick has worked wonders at Camp Nou since taking over as manager in the summer of 2024.

He led the club to a historic domestic treble in his debut season, clinching the La Liga, Copa del Rey and Supercopa de Espana trophies.

Flick has continued the good work at Barcelona this season, as they have already won the Spanish Super Cup and are on course to retain the La Liga crown.

Flick will reportedly sign his new contract once the Blaugrana are crowned champions.

That could happen this weekend, if his team beat Osasuna and Real Madrid fail to win at Espanyol.

The two Spanish rivals will meet in the Clasico the following week at the Camp Nou.

Madrid can win their remaining five fixtures, but only a miracle will see them win the championship from their current position.
