Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick showcased his long-hailed man management skills for the latest time late on Saturday.

As much comes on the back of an outing to remember for Barca.

The Blaugrana marked their return to action a short time ago, welcoming Real Valladolid to Catalunya’s capital with sights on a 4th successive victory to open the campaign.

And, when all was said and done, this is precisely what the evening’s hosts managed.

Owing to a frankly remarkable display in the attacking third, a Raphinha-inspired Barcelona romped to an eventual 7-0 rout.

Post-match at Montjuïc, spirits, in turn, were understandably high in the Barcelona camp.

And yet, as alluded to above, in the midst of his side’s celebrations, Hansi Flick was nevertheless eager to ensure that one member of his squad to have missed out on the action on the pitch was not too disappointed.

The player in question? Héctor Fort.

Defender Fort was for his part forced to watch on from the bench once more on Saturday, amid what has proven a difficult start to the campaign.
