Hansi Flick’s plans for three-week international break revealed as only six Barcelona players remain | OneFootball

FC Barcelona have completed a very good first phase of the 2026-27 season, winning each of their eight games played up to now, all of them in a very convincing fashion. As things stand, they are at the top of the La Liga table, enjoying a five-point advantage over the second-placed Atletico Madrid.

Following their latest win over Sevilla, the Blaugranes are now set to spend some time before playing their next game, as the September international break has started. This is going to be a longer break than usual, and will last for three weeks.

Almost the entire Barcelona squad has been called up by their respective national teams, and Hansi Flick will be left with only six players for the duration of this break. SPORT has provided an outline of the German coach’s plans for this stretch.

The outlet reports that the team enjoyed a day off on Monday, and even Hansi Flick remained absent, but Gavi still arrived at the facilities to train on his own. Joan Garcia and Andreas Christensen also came to work on their recovery processes, while Fermin came to get some of his personal belongings.

The players who remain at the club are expected to return to training on Tuesday, and from then on, the German coach will hold training sessions till Friday. However, after that, the players who have not been called up by their teams will get a significant break, from September 28 to October 4, and return to training only on October 5.

Meanwhile, some of the players who have been called up by their national teams will be facing a hectic three weeks. This is particularly the case with the forward Raphinha, who will first have to take a transatlantic flight to join the Brazilian national team, with which he will then travel to Australia to play two games, before then again returning to Barcelona after the end of the international break.
