Haris Belkebla will extend his stay at Angers on a new one-year contract, according to L'Équipe.
The 32-year-old Algerian midfielder reaches the end of his current deal on 30 June after two full seasons in Anjou. He made 34 appearances this season and missed only one league matchday.
The agreement includes two additional years that will be automatically activated in summer 2027 and summer 2028, each dependent on the club remaining in Ligue 1.
Belkebla has settled well at Angers and is valued for his stamina and attitude. The Algeria international has 11 caps.
He became a leading voice in the dressing room and wore the captain’s armband for almost the whole campaign. Veteran Pierrick Capelle started the final five Ligue 1 matches, when he took over the role.
