There has been speculation that Harry Amass may leave Sheffield Wednesday for Stoke City this January window, but he has kept performing in spite of the noise.
He has won consecutive Player of the Month awards for the Owls and was in great form again yesterday, despite their 0-3 defeat to Queen’s Park Rangers. The 18-year-old put in a strong defensive effort, making 100% of his tackles and winning nine out of 10 ground duels in the match.
He also made three interceptions and four clearances during the game. Amass was also productive going forward, completing four out of his five dribble attempts.
The Dane was in brilliant form against Cremonese, scoring twice to win the match for his side at the end of the year.
He was in much worse form, though, on Sunday even with SSC Napoli winning 2-0 against SS Lazio. Hojlund had one key pass and one shot on goal in the match.
The striker completed none of his dribble attempts, and only nine passes in the entire match. He was also ineffective in duels, losing all six of his ground and aerial contests in the 86 minutes he was on the pitch.
The Manchester United youth product was substituted at half-time after a poor display versus Espanyol in the Catalan derby.
FC Barcelona ran out 2-0 winners with two late strikes, but Rashford contributed little in the first half. He had one key pass, which created one big chance for his side, but had little influence outside of this.
Rashford completed just nine passes and was unsuccessful in all three of his dribble attempts. The 28-year-old was also poor in duels, winning just one of six.
The Englishman has had more involvement in the Premier League lately for Aston Villa.
He played the final 21 minutes of their 3-1 victory over Nottingham Forest.
Sancho struggled, though, failing to complete any of his cross or dribble attempts.
The winger also only made six passes during the time he was on the pitch.
Williams played the final 16 minutes of Falkirk’s 1-0 win over Aberdeen on Saturday.
He had one shot on goal and completed 100% of his passes.
The youngster also won one of three duel attempts as he helped his side hold onto a valuable victory.
