Harry Kane and Bayern Munich are expected to open contract talks at the start of August, with both sides keen to extend their partnership, AS reports.

Kane will meet club officials after his holiday, and is due to rejoin training once the Asian tour ends between the first and eighth of August. Bayern have already moved to secure their top scorer, even though his current deal runs until summer 2027.

Money is not seen as the obstacle. Bild claims Kane earns around 25 million euros a year, making him one of Bayern's highest earners, and there is no sign the club plan to cut that.

The debate centres on term. Bayern are expected to propose a contract running at least to 2029, while Kane's representatives want a formula that keeps him at the elite level, with the 2030 World Cup among his considerations.

Talks are set to be led by sporting director Max Eberl and chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen, with the striker's father and brother across the table. Both sides want an agreement to keep him in Bavaria.

Barcelona and Al-Hilal are watching after a standout season in which he finished as the Bundesliga's top scorer, but Kane has shown no desire to leave. His focus is to continue with Bayern, chase silverware and remain key for England, and a return to Tottenham is off the table for now.
