Back in training on Monday, Harry Kane said he is preparing to begin talks with Bayern Munich over a contract extension.
Bild claims the striker’s preference is to stay with the club.
Kane, who turned 33 at the end of July, said he did not know the exact start date but discussions would begin this week or next. He added both sides were relaxed and that, with only a year left, it was important to start talking.
The England forward finished third at the 2026 World Cup after beating France 6-4 in the third-place play-off.
Since joining in 2023, he has made 147 appearances for Bayern, scoring 146 goals and providing 33 assists. He won the Bundesliga in 2025 and 2026 and reached the Champions League semi-finals last season, before going out to PSG, 4-5 and 1-1.
