Harry Kane set to tie Peter Shilton's record when England host Czechia at Wembley | OneFootball

According to BuLi News, Harry Kane can equal Peter Shilton’s England appearance record when the Three Lions host Czechia at Wembley on Tuesday.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have started their UEFA Nations League campaign with six points from three matches, their only defeat at Wembley to reigning world champions Spain.

The Bayern striker scored in all three fixtures. Now 33, he won his 124th cap in Saturday’s 7-0 win over Croatia and sits 36 goals clear of Wayne Rooney in England’s scoring list.

Shilton represented England from 1970 to 1990. Kane could surpass the benchmark barely over a decade after his debut.

Kane made his debut in March 2015, coming on for Rooney as Roy Hodgson’s side beat Lithuania 4-0 at Wembley. He scored after 79 seconds, the first of his 89 international goals.

While Germany’s new coach Jürgen Klopp is using two squads for the extended international break, Kane is set to start all four England games. The Ballon d’Or nominee has scored 31 times for England since joining the Rekordmeister.
