Ex-Tottenham captain is in high demand
Barcelona have earmarked Harry Kane as their top target to replace Robert Lewandowski, according to reports.
Kane, 32, has cemented his status as one of Europe’s best strikers since making the £100million move from Tottenham to Bayern Munich in August 2023, racking up 137 goals and assists in just 113 appearances. He has been nothing short of spectacular this season, scoring 22 times in 16 matches.
The England captain remains under contract at Bayern through June 2027, but La Liga champions Barcelona could look to pry him away from the Allianz Arena a year early.
A new report in The Guardian states Kane is the Blaugrana’s first-choice successor for Lewandowski.

The Poland legend, now 37, is still scoring for fun in La Liga and sits second in the Golden Boot race with seven goals in nine outings.
He is out of contract in June, though, and reports in Spain suggest Barcelona are reluctant to offer the veteran forward a new deal, with Kane their ideal alternative.
Kane’s Bayern contract features a release clause which would allow him to move in the summer for just £54m. The Briton is not thought to be in a rush to leave Bavaria, though.
Speaking in September, Tottenham boss Thomas Frank left the door open for Kane to return to north London, where he racked up an impressive 280 goals.

“I think there’s a lot of Tottenham fans, including myself, who would like to see Kane back," Frank said.
“He’s a top player. Personally, I don’t think he will do it right now, if I’m honest, he’ll probably stay in Bayern and continue performing well.
“He was top scorer last year and won the championship, he’s doing fantastic now.
“I don’t know what he’s thinking. Myself, I’m a traveller, I like to travel, I like to explore things as well. He’s been here for many years so why not enjoy the time at Bayern a little bit more.
“But he’s welcome. If he wants to join us, he’s more than welcome."
